2018 ~ Family, Friends, Fun and More!

As I look back on the year 2018, I love that it has been so filled with family and friends foremost!

Started the year with a wedding, became grandparents in the spring, met "Daniel Boone", visited family and friends, friends visited us, watched sculptures being made, and toured southwestern Indiana and learned more about its history.

We added a Guesthouse/Storage/Hobbies & Interests House to our property. We will be living in this house, until the Cabin is finished. So, we have been working on making it nice for our visitors. In between visitors, it will be our goal to use this building more for following our interests and passions.

As you will see below, I have been continuing to follow my interests in photography, genealogy, stargazing and identifying the wildlife around us.

Visit with Hubby's Family. We are lucky they live
near wedding we attended.

My family started the year with a beautiful wedding. Glad we
Be there to help them celebrate!

Daniel Boone stopped in for a visit at
my library!

The Guesthouse was delivered in March...

...and now y'all can come visit!

Our friend came to visit, and we checked
out the fantastic West Baden Hotel!

Our friends, and my son, came to visit in October.
We found out how many people you could fit
in the front of our camper! Lol

This book continues to be my guide to the stars,
as I keep learning the constellations.

It took about a decade, but we were able to recreate
this photo. My, how they have grown!

The beginnings of our water catchment
system... stay tuned!

I started an Identification Page on the blog. Check it out!
I am adding our local wildlife, as I am able to identify them
through books, etc.

Bedroom is now complete, mostly! Just adding
shelves, decorations still.

Lots of drywall patching was done
this summer.

We got the electricity hooked up to
the Guesthouse just in time for
the air conditioner!

Catching up with old friends.
I miss seeing you!

Hanging out with George Rogers Clark in Vincennes.

Genealogy has shown me that I have deep Indiana
roots. Spent lots of time working on my genealogy blog, also.

Sometimes you have to hunt for a good photo,
and sometimes it just lands on your window!

And, with this little guy, I will end this post. Thank you for sticking around (like Froggy!) this year, and I hope to hear from you in 2019!

Everyone, have a very Happy New Year's Eve, and a blessed new year!!!      🎉  📅 .🎉
