The 70° F that you see on our inside thermometer is actually about the lowest temperature that we have had. It seems to be running about 70°-80° F on a consistent basis.
We do have a couple of small space heaters that we may run, if needed. But, they have actually been used quite infrequently.

Yes, we are living in a "shed" that is being converted into a house. However, these Amish-built sheds are well-constructed, and ours already has insulation. We have covered our windows with plastic, and the doorways have "snakes" blocking any drafts at the bottom.
Our woodstove is very economical, and uses a renewable resource from a sawmill. To him, they are scraps. To us, a blessing!

In the last post when you said you had a wood stove I did not worry about you all when I heard what was coming your way ... that guy will pay for himself many times over and a saw mill double blessing . Xoxo Pam
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! Yeah, I'm never excited to get an electric bill at all. But, I am interested in seeing how much the next one might be. It will be the first one since we've had it.
